The purpose of this privacy policy is to provide maximum transparency concerning the information the site collects and how it is used.
In compliance with the obligations defined by national (Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, Personal Data Protection Code, as amended) and European legislation (European Data Protection Regulation no. 679/2016, GDPR), this site respects and protects the privacy of visitors and users, making every possible and proportionate effort not to infringe their rights.

Specifically, this site does not use data for targeted mailings, but makes use of third-party services in order to improve the use of the site, third parties that may collect user data and then use them for personalised profiling purposes.

Legal basis for processing
This site processes data mainly on the basis of users’ consent.

Consent is given by means of the banner on the page, and further consents relating to the specific purpose of the service are also collected via the communication or service request forms.

The provision of data and thus consent to the collection and processing of the same is optional, the user may withhold consent (via the banner at the bottom of the page or the browser settings for cookies, explanations to follow), and may revoke a consent already provided at any time (by contacting the data controller via the contact page). Withholding consent may result in the inability to provide certain services and the site navigation experience may be impaired.

As of 25 May 2018 (date of entry into force of the GDPR), this site processes some of the data on the basis of the legitimate interests of the data controller.

Purpose of processing
The processing of data collected by the site, in addition to the purposes instrumental and necessary for the provision of the service, is aimed at the following purposes:

  • Analysis and statistics
    Collection of data and information in an aggregated but anonymous form only. None of this information is related to the individual, the user of the site, and does not in any way allow them to be identified.
  • Safety
    For security purposes (spam filters, firewalls, virus detection), the automatically recorded data may possibly also include personal data such as the IP address, which could be used, in accordance with the relevant laws in force, in order to block attempts to damage the site itself or to cause damage to other users, or in any case harmful or criminal activities. The collected data is never used for user identification or profiling, but only for the purpose of protecting the site and its users (as of 25 May 2018, this information is processed according to the legitimate interests of the owner).
  • Ancillary activities
    Communicate data to third parties performing functions necessary or instrumental to the operation of the service, and to enable third parties to perform technical, logistical and other activities on our behalf. Suppliers only have access to personal data that are necessary to perform their tasks, and undertake not to use the data for any other purpose, and are obliged to process personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations.

Collected data

This site collects user data in two ways.

  • Automated data collection
    During user navigation, the following information may be collected and stored in the log files of the site’s server (hosting):
    – internet protocol address (IP);
    – kind of browser;
    – parameters of the device used to connect to the site;
    – name of the internet service provider (ISP);
    – date and time of visit;
    – the visitor’s source (referral) and exit web pages;
    – possibly the number of clicks.
    This data is used for statistical and analytical purposes, in aggregate form only. The IP address is used solely for security purposes and is not cross-referenced with any other data.
  • Data provided voluntarily
    The site may collect other data in the event of voluntary use of services by users, such as comment services, communication services, and will be used exclusively for the provision of the requested service:
    – name (if any);
    – email address.The data received will be used exclusively for the provision of the requested service and only for the time necessary for the provision of the same, the user can always request the interruption of the Processing or the deletion of the Data at any time.
    The information that users of the site deem to make public through the services and tools made available to them is provided by the user knowingly and voluntarily, exempting this site from any liability for any breach of the law. It is up to the user to verify that he/she has permission to enter personal data of third parties or content protected by national and international regulations.

Place of processing
The data collected from the site are processed at the Data Controller‘s premises, and at the datacenter of the web Hosting (Aruba S.p.A. – Via San Clemente, 53 – 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG) ), which is responsible for processing the data, doing so on behalf of the Data Controller, is located in the European Economic Area and acts in accordance with European regulations.

Data retention period
The data collected by the site during its operation are kept for the time strictly necessary to carry out the specified activities. On expiry, the data will be deleted or anonymised, unless there is no further purpose for retaining the data.

Data (IP address) used for site security purposes (blocking attempts to damage the site) are retained.

Transfer of collected data to third parties
The data collected by the site are generally not provided to third parties, except in specific cases: legitimate request by the judicial authorities and only in cases provided for by law; when it is necessary for the provision of a specific service requested by the user; for the performance of security checks or site optimisation.

Data transfer to non-EU countries
This site may share some of the data collected with services located outside the European Union. In particular with social plug-ins and Google services. The transfer is authorised on the basis of specific indications of the European Union and the Data Protection Authority, specifically decree 1250/2016 (Privacy Shield – here the information page of the Italian Data Protection Authority). The above-mentioned companies guarantee their adherence to the Privacy Shield.

Cookie
This site makes use of cookies, text files that are recorded on the user’s device or that allow access to information on the user’s device. Cookies are used to store information on visitors’ preferences, to allow the site to function properly and to improve its functionality by customising the content of the pages according to the type of browser used, or to simplify navigation by automating procedures (e.g. login, site language), and finally to analyse visitors’ use of the site.

Third-party cookies
This site also acts as an intermediary for third-party cookies (such as social network buttons), used to provide additional services and functionalities to visitors and to simplify the use of the site itself, or to provide personalised advertising. This site has no control over cookies that are entirely managed by third parties and has no access to the information collected through these.   • Google Analytics
    Used to analyse visitors’ use of the site, compile reports on site activity and user behaviour, check how often users visit the site, how the site is tracked and which pages are visited most frequently.     Data collected: browser ID, date and time of interaction with the site, page of origin, IP address.
    Place of data processing: European Union, as the anonymisation of the service is active, the data collected does not allow personal identification of users, and is not cross-referenced with other information about the same person. They are processed in aggregate form and anonymised (truncated to the last octet). Google Inc. is prohibited by agreement. the cross-referencing of these data with those obtained from other services.     The user can selectively disable (opt-out) the collection of data by Google Analytics by installing the
    appropriate component provided by Google on their browser.
  • Formidable Form
    Marketing platform, for contact management and dissemination of information content (newsletters), which uses cookies to collect information that is used in aggregate form to help understand how this website is used or how effective marketing campaigns are, or to personalise the website in order to improve the user experience.   • Woocommerce
    This site uses the free programme provided by the WordPress platform for online commerce. This is a session cookie used to track the items in your shopping cart in the sections of the site where you can make purchases.
    Three different WooCommerce cookies are used:
    – woocommerce_cart_hash
    – woocommerce_items_in_cart
    – wp_woocommerce_session_
    – woocommerce_recently_viewed
    The first two cookies contain information about the entire shopping cart and help WooCommerce know when the information in the cart changes. The last two cookies contain a unique code for each User, so that shopping cart information can be retrieved from a database created for each User.

  • Social network buttons and widgets
    Social buttons are those particular ‘buttons’ on the site that depict the icons of social networks (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) and allow users who are browsing to interact with a ‘click’ directly with social platforms.
    The social buttons used by the site are links to functions of the social networks depicted. No third-party cookies are therefore installed on the site through the use of these buttons. However, we provide the links where the user can view the privacy policy on data management by the companies to which the buttons refer.

Social Network Plugins
This site also incorporates plugins and/or buttons in order to enable easy sharing of content on your favourite social networks. When you visit a page on our website that contains a plugin, your browser connects directly to the servers of the social network from where the plugin is loaded, which can track your visit to our website and, where appropriate, associate it with your social network account, particularly if you are logged in at the time of the visit or if you have recently surfed one of the websites containing social plugins. If you do not wish the social network to record data relating to your visit to our website, you must log out of your social network account and probably delete the cookies that the social network has installed in your browser.

Plugins are installed on this site with advanced privacy protection functions for Users, which do not send cookies or access cookies on the User’s browser when the page is opened, but only after the plugin is clicked.

  • request the updating, rectification, integration, deletion, transformation into anonymous form, and blocking of data processed in breach of the law, including data no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected;
  • in cases of consent-based processing, receive at the sole cost of any support, the data provided to the data controller, in a structured, machine-readable form and in a format commonly used by an electronic device;
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Privacy Authority – link to the page);
  • as well as, more generally, to exercise all the rights recognised to them by the applicable legal provisions.
