In January 1991, Ducrot joined the staff of his family’s tour operator, Viaggi dell’Elefante, continuing to travel the world, contributing to the creation of travel itineraries and the opening of new destinations.
In 2005 he created the Ecoluxury project, an enterprise combining sustainable economy with the highest quality standards, as opposed to mass tourism products based on obsolete and unsustainable models. The concept of luxury is understood not as superfluous or expensive, but in the Latin sense of ‘luxus’, the most beautiful or good thing that evokes admiration and consensus.
Since 2008, Ducrot has held the position of Managing Director at Viaggi dell’Elefante, growing a business that today consists of a group of high-end tourism companies. Enrico Ducrot owns one of the largest collections of travel books in Italy and has created the Biblioteca del Viaggiatore, a virtual collection of over 10,000 travel-related books.
